Rogoznica is situated approximately half way between Šibenik and Split. This charming fishing village is situated on an artificially built peninsula that was constructed in the 14th century. This ideal geographical position (it is located in a bay) has enabled Rogoznica to develop tourism, particularly nautical tourism thanks to the calm sea and beautiful natural surroundings. The marina in Rogoznica is capable of holding 400 boats the entire year round and offers its visitors a complete service.
In terms of natural surroundings, it is worth pointing out the beautiful beaches, hidden coves, little islands and the Zmaj lake which has many local legends attached to it. The parish church and church tower that were built in the 17th century dominate the village, which with its compact houses has a typical Mediterranean look.
The inhabitants of Rogoznica offer private accommodation or you can stay in the auto camp. If a standard holiday does not appeal to you then you can always take a course in diving, or sailing, or even spend time on the tennis courts, cycle paths or sports grounds. You can spend your time in the evenings in one of the restaurants or inns that offer a huge range of excellent local wines and tasty Dalmatian dishes. The nightclubs and cafes supplement the range of evening entertainment on offer.
Rogoznica is an ideal location for a family holiday, and also for those who want to spend their holiday exploring the region and Dalmatia’s natural beauty. The National Park of Krka is only 30 kilometres away, as is the town of Trogir and the entire Split region whose cultural value is priceless.
