This small town twenty kilometers from Šibenik is situated in the Pirovac bay. It is a typical Mediterranean settlement with compact streets and has traces of history from the Antique, Baroque and Gothic times. The inhabitants engage in fishing and tourism, and Pirovac has over 2500 beds on offer in rooms, apartments, bungalows, hotels and auto camps. The clean sea, well cared for beaches and healing mud are some of the main reasons to visit Pirovac. The Adriatic highway connects it with all the larger towns on the coast, and two National Parks are nearby – Krka and Kornati.
Recreational activities include diving, fishing (sea angling and fishing on the nearby Vranski lake), outings and cycling. You can spend your evenings in one of the restaurants and inns, discos, or simply having a stroll on the sea front enjoying the scents of the local cooking and the sounds of Dalmatian music.
