Whilst the larger places on the island of Krk have been popular tourist resorts for a long time, Njivice is still hiding its magic and natural beauty. Once a small fishing village, it is every day becoming more attractive for tourists from all over the world.
The combination of beautiful beaches, clean sea and unspoilt nature will not let visitors down in terms of offering them an excellent holiday. Hotels, an auto camp, bungalows and private apartments provide guests with well-kept beaches. But if you are after some peace then you can find it in one of the many nearby secluded bays. In the evenings you can take a walk beside the sea or enjoy yourself on one of the café terraces listening to the local ‘klapa’ music. The sunset is especially memorable when you can see the outline of Učka and the island of Cres, as well as the twinkling lights of Rijeka, Lovran and Opatija.
Out of the sporting activities, favourites are cycling and hill walking, where there are many adapted trails and paths around the village. On the beaches it is possible to hire a jet ski or a similar ‘water vessel’ and children will not feel short changed because there is a special games area for them.
