The village of Murter is surrounded by three hills and is hidden amongst the pine forest and olive groves. Due to its shallowness the sandy beach is suitable for children, and the clean environment is the foundation for tourism in the village. It is possible to find accommodation is one of the hotels, apartments, campsites and family guesthouses. The marina offers two hundred moorings for sailors, and you can stay on the nearby Kornati Islands and enjoy all the delights of Robinson tourism.
The village of Tisno is interesting since during the course of time it has expanded onto the nearby mainland, and is now connected by bridge.
In Betina there is a boat yard for small boats with excellent Dalmatian cooking that is based on home made olive oil and fresh fish.
