This place is one of the most significant tourist centres on the Jadran. Its popularity is due to its courteousness and consideration to tourists.
The popular swimming area is on the neighbouring Kašteja peninsula, where the beach is two kilometres long and the sea is shallow and suitable even for the very young. The Medulin beaches are varied and well looked after, although it is easy to find a "quiet unspoilt cove", sheltered from the crowds and noise.
At the end of summer and in the winter period, Medulin is full of sports people who are making preparations for the following season. The numerous sports grounds and gentle climate make this town ideal for a visit and for leisure throughout the entire year.
Although it has less then 2000 inhabitants, Medulin functions like a large town and offers its visitors all the necessary amenities – from banks to doctors to beauty salons.
Visitors can become familiar with all the water sports (sailing, water skiing diving….) and with expert leaders can finish schools in the same. For those who prefer culture, Medulin offers classical music concerts as part of the Medulin summer concerts, and frequently there are handicraft exhibitions. Here, visitors can take a look and buy original Istrian souvenirs as well as hand made craftworks.
You will rarely find such variety in one place, so if you yourself are not sure what would like to do on holiday, then Medulin is the right place for you!
