Biograd
Biograd Na Moru is located on a peninsula in the Pašman gulf, and has an impressive view of the Zadar islands. The history of Biograd begins way back in the tenth century, when in the Middle Ages the town was the capital for the Croatian rulers. This period is mentioned in the Biograd Homeland museum, which has exhibits about historical events in the area.

The well-kept environment and beautiful natural surroundings make Biograd a relaxing place for a holiday. It’s pretty beaches and swimming areas, as well as the wide range of accommodation on offer (hotels, campsites, holiday centres, guest houses and villas) and extensive additional facilities have made this small town a favourite destination for many sailors. The two marinas, which have a total of 1000 moorings, are suitable for sailors who will enjoy the indented Zadar coastline, and this offer is enhanced by the hotels in the ports that take ‘hotel + mooring’ bookings. As well as water slides, beach volleyball and diving, Biograd has extremely good quality tennis courts, and offers a number of sporting activities.

The town has good traffic connections with all the other destinations in the region, and is near to the National Parks of Kornati, the Krka waterfalls, the Plitvice Lakes, as well as the Nature Park of Velebit. This makes Biograd an ideal destination for all those who want to spend a pleasurable holiday enjoying Croatia’s natural beauty.
